Halden's Internship Week 5

Week 5 (6/24/24-6/28/24)

This week, I finished importing the guides to blog posts. The main crux being the Magent-a-gheddon guide. This guide has a small navigation element, meaning I will need to figure something out to avoid having scripts in markdown, which is a big cybersecurity no-no. I ended up building the page in the layouts folder, avoiding markdown completely, only using it for the post front matter.

Establishing the upload structure for image uploads was another key task I tackled, ensuring that images are correctly handled and displayed across the site. It turns out that CloudCannon has some built in functionality regarding image upload paths. I managed to get all images to upload to folders with corresponding names, which is much better than the previous method of having a massive thumbnail, banner, and content folder for blog posts.

I also spent time doing various styling updates to the site, adding new components, and integrating Flowbite to enhance the component creation process. I’m excited to dive deeper into flowbite, as they have this cool feature where a figma component can be transferred into a tailwind styled html component. It’s been another productive week, and I’m excited to continue refining and enhancing the website.
