Week 12 (8/12/24-8/16/24)

Week 12 marks the end of my initial internship period, but I’m excited to share that my time at Razoyo has been extended until October 12! This extension is a great opportunity, and I’m grateful for the chance to see the site through to its completion. The new Razoyo website has come a long way, with key features like the component system, blog and case studies systems, and search all in place. My next focus will be on refining the site’s styling and smoothing out any rough edges.

This week, I made significant progress. I worked on the site’s header, implementing four mega menu dropdowns, each packed with relevant information.

I also added links to the footer and applied styling across various pages. However, some of the component styling was affected when I added the data bindings. My next steps will involve fixing these issues and ensuring everything is mobile-responsive. I plan to do this once all components are added, so I won’t have to manually track down each instance when making changes.

Wrapping up the Internship

I also presented my site progress to the entire Razoyo development team during this week’s dev meeting. It was a bit nerve-wracking, and I was a little awkward at first, but overall, it went well. The devs at Razoyo are insightful and supportive, and it was great to get feedback and confirmation on the choices I’ve made.

The marketing team has also been great to work with. I always enjoy sitting in on their meetings — it’s interesting to see how a company like this functions as a whole. My experience at Razoyo has been entirely positive. Everyone has been welcoming and helpful throughout my time here!

Overall, my experience has been fantastic. I’ve learned so much in such a short period. It’s been rewarding to dive deep into a large-scale project like this, and the progress has been encouraging. I’ve always enjoyed coding, but these past three months have really deepened my passion for the field. This will be my last blog post for now, but keep an eye out for more updates from me in the coming months. Don’t forget to check out Razoyo’s social media accounts and give a like to my day-in-the-life and working time-lapse videos!
